Crime update from the Tribune:
If Daryl Russell lives to rob another day, as Chicago police said he did this afternoon at a CTA ‘L’ platform, he’ll want to avoid returning to the scene of his crime, or wear a less colorful shirt.
Chicago police said after the Broadview man implied that he had a handgun to rob a 65-year-old woman of $25 at the CTA Red Line’s North Avenue stop around 4 p.m. today, the striped-shirted robber hopped down on the train tracks and ran south.
When Near North District officers responded, multiple witnesses gave them detailed description of the robber.
